- Growth hormone stimulation test:
- continuous IV infusion of 500 mg/kg over 30 minutes
- includes fasting, resting, proper venous access, and timed blood sampling at 0, 30, 60, 90, 120, and 150 minutes
- plasma must be centrifuged immediately and stored at −20°C before analysis
