About Venoferrum inj. Iron(lll)-hydroxide sucrose complex 5x5ml
The complex is designed to provide the body with iron in a controlled manner, which is necessary for the transportation of iron and protein storage in the body (i.e. transferrin and ferritin, respectively). After intravenous administration, the polynuclear iron core of the complex is predominantly absorbed by the reticuloendothelial system of the liver, spleen, and bone marrow. In the second phase, iron is used for the synthesis of Hb, myoglobin, and other iron-containing enzymes, or is stored primarily in the liver in the form of ferritin.
